Summar

We are looking for high-quality teachers/ assistant able to be paired with another teacher in the same classroom to share duties such as creating lesson plans, instruction, and assessments of students. Co-teachers need to know how to work as a team to plan lessons for students and then carry them out through collaboration in various ways throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
  • Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments 
  • Make use of data to inform instructional decisions
  • Give students daily feedback on their performance and plan for individual learning needs
  • Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
  • Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture '
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
  • Maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress 
  • Effectively manage a classroom with up to 25 students

Technology Skills 

Competence in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use a variety of computer applications and platforms. Ability to use basic office equipment. Knowledge and experience in using a computer-based student Information Management system.

Qualifications 

  • Associate degree Preferred
  • Missouri Substitute Certification Required
  • Pass Criminal Background Check Required
  • 1 years of teaching experience Preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.

Schedule:

  • In-person teaching Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm 
    • Some weekends and evenings will be required 

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis.
